What you will bring to the role

  • Completed degree qualification (or higher) in Psychology, Social Work, Developmental Education, Counselling or similar - a must
  • An in depth understanding of good clinical practice, the jurisdictional requirements in your state and the context in which behaviour support is provided
  • Understanding of the regulatory requirements as they apply to Behaviour Support
  • Knowledge of contemporary practices and philosophies in relation to service provision for people with intellectual and/or cognitive disabilities 
  • Experience as a behaviour support practitioner at either Proficient Practitioner capability or as a Core Practitioner with the ability to be endorsed as Proficient.
