Hughenden is accessible by rail, plane and bus and is the main business Centre for the Flinders Shire which also encompasses the smaller communities of Prairie, Torrens Creek and Stamford.The RoleThe role will provide you with in-depth training relevant to the industry; from setting out, constructing wall and ceiling frames, to pitching roofs and installing windows and doorsThis is a great opportunity for candidates who have the dedication to complete a 4-year apprenticeship, which will allow you to gain a Certificate III in carpentry.About YouMust have a genuine desire to work in constructionEnjoy hands on work and problem solvingHave high attention to detailHave basic hand toolsBe a quick learner who can follow directionsBe extremely reliable, motivated & handle a fast paced, physical environmentBe tenacious and persistentStrong time management skills and communication skillsMust hold a White Card and Manual Drivers licence (or close to obtaining)Must have reliable transport to travel to and from job sitesWork experience in construction or with a builder is desirableCertificate I or II in construction desirable Who We Are?Community Solutions is a non-for-profit organisation operating as a commercial business, providing apprentices and trainees to a variety of different businesses throughout Queensland.
