Through positive behaviour strategies and collaboration, we support participants to gain control, independence and to make positive lifestyle changes.Your day to dayProviding supportive leadership and mentoring to the practitionersGiving feedback on plans via a review process that will support Behaviour Support Practitioners (BSPs) and contribute to quality assuring plansProviding professional information to people with disability and their support circle regarding evidence-based approaches to reduce the impact of challenging behaviourCommunicating effectively with your Practice Lead and team to solve problems and review procedures to ensure continuous improvementEnsuring support plans, notes and documents are recorded in line with the NDIS framework and with a high level of care and accuracyWhat you will bring to the roleA prominent level of knowledge of contemporary practices and trends in relation to service provision for people with intellectual and/or cognitive disabilities The ability to motivate, build rapport and attune with the team, participants, their families and service providers An understanding of the role of the Quality and Safeguards Commission and the Rules and Practice Standards as they apply to Behaviour SupportRelevant Tertiary qualifications n Social Work, Occupational Therapy, Psychology or Applied Behaviour AnalysisExposure to developing and implementing positive behaviour support plansAn understanding of good clinical practice, the jurisdictional requirements in QLD and the context in which Behaviour Support is providedStrong communication, IT, admin and organisation skills as you will be working with billable timeAdditional requirements:Right to Work in Australia i.e., Australian/NZ Citizen, Permanent Resident or Visa with permission to work - excludes visas with Temporary Work RightsA current Blue Card and NDIS Worker's Screening Check, or the willingness to gain these clearances if successful.
